Am I Pretty When I Cry? is Chapter Theatre Company’s debut production. It is a one woman show, where the audience joins a 21-year-old woman in therapy for an hour while she discusses the recent death of a boy who sexually assaulted her as a teenager. It goes through the complex relationship between the pair, her initial idolisation and utter loathing the boy, as well as her conflicting feelings of grief and relief in the wake of his passing.
